Your company already lives inside Microsoft 365. The question is whether it is on the right plan and whether it is actually turned on.
The email, the files, the conversations and the identities that open every door in your company live in Microsoft 365: Outlook for email, OneDrive and SharePoint for files, Teams for conversations. Having that is already the start. The problem comes next: almost no one reviews whether the company is on the right plan (some pay for the most complete plan and use the simplest; others keep sensitive data on a plan that is too basic), and the security the higher plans bring ships in the license and stays turned off until someone sets it up. Microsoft 365 managed by Zamak puts the company on the right plan, turns on what it brings and takes care of it every day, alongside your team.
The Microsoft 365 account opens the email, the files and everything else; and the stolen credential is the number 1 way in, with cloud accounts among the favorite targets, according to Verizon's annual report. (Verizon DBIR 2025)
Having Microsoft 365 is not having backup: deleted data stays available for a short window and then is gone, and the license does not protect against long-term deletion or ransomware. (Microsoft)
Business Premium brings a complete security stack (advanced antivirus, device management, access control, data protection) that ships in the license and stays turned off until someone sets it up. (Microsoft)
If you open your company's Microsoft 365 right now, could you say which plan you are on, what already comes included and what is actually turned on?
The real problem
Having Microsoft 365 is easy. Being on the right plan, with it turned on, is what almost no one does
Microsoft 365 rarely disappoints for lack of features. It disappoints when no one chose the plan with judgment, turned on what it brings and filled what is missing. Here is where Microsoft 365 on autopilot charges the bill, almost always at the worst moment:
The plan chosen by guesswork
The company got into Microsoft 365 by taking whatever plan was left: the one the partner suggested, the cheapest, or the one that already came. No one ever reviewed whether it was the right one. The result is usually one of two: paying for the most complete plan and using it like the simplest, or keeping sensitive data on a plan too basic, without the security it called for. Either way, the company pays for a choice that was never really made.
The security that came in the box and stayed off
The company bought Business Premium thinking that made it secure. And the plan does bring a complete stack: advanced antivirus, device management, access control, data-leak protection. But all of it ships in the license and stays turned off until someone goes in, sets it up and maintains it. Without that, you pay for the security and do not have the security: the more expensive license becomes a policy that was never signed.
The recycle bin that empties itself
Someone accidentally deletes a whole folder, a former employee wipes the mailbox before leaving, or ransomware encrypts files that OneDrive syncs to everyone. Microsoft 365 keeps what was deleted for a short window and then it is gone for good. Being on Microsoft 365 is not having backup: without an independent copy, a slip or an attack becomes data loss with no way back.
The account that became the key to the whole company
Each person's Microsoft 365 account opens the email, the files and the systems. Without a second factor at login and without rules that block unusual sign-ins (which the higher plans bring, but almost never come turned on), one password leaked on some random site is enough for someone to get in as if they owned the account. The door most used by intruders is not a technical flaw: it is a credential no one protected.
The pricey license half the team never uses
The company pays the full plan per person, but much of the team uses only the email. Teams, SharePoint, the meeting and organization tools that justify the plan were never introduced or adopted. You pay for the whole package and use a slice: Microsoft 365 becomes an expensive email subscription, when it could be the platform where the whole company works better.
None of this is Microsoft 365's fault, nor of whoever runs IT. It is the lack of someone responsible for three things: choosing the right plan, turning on what it brings and filling what is missing. That is exactly what Microsoft 365 managed by Zamak puts in place.
What it is
Microsoft 365 on the right plan, turned on and cared for by Zamak
Managed Microsoft 365 is the service in which Zamak chooses, provisions and operates your company's Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's package that brings together corporate email, the Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), the files in the cloud (OneDrive and SharePoint) and Teams, all for one license per user. Zamak works on three fronts: it puts the company on the right plan, neither too expensive nor unprotected; it turns on and operates what the plan brings, especially the Business Premium security, which ships in the license and stays off; and it fills what Microsoft 365 does not do on its own. Because Zamak is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and resells the licenses, you have a single point of contact for the licenses and the operation. Your team stays in command; Zamak is the support layer behind you.
The right plan for your company
Zamak starts from the way your company works, not from a price sheet, to say which plan fits: those who only need the apps, those who need the essential cloud, those who need full productivity and those who need real security. You stop paying for what you do not use and stop being unprotected from a poorly made saving. And because the licenses come through Zamak, it is one contract and one point of contact.
Turned on and operated, not just licensed
Buying the plan is half the road; the other half is turning on what it brings and keeping it working. Zamak turns on and operates the security that comes with the plan, mainly on Business Premium: it requires a second factor at login, blocks off-pattern sign-ins, sets up the device policies, activates data-leak protection and tracks the environment's security score, fixing what it points to. The more expensive license starts being worth what it costs.
Complete: what Microsoft 365 does not do
Some risks Microsoft 365 does not cover on its own, and Zamak fills them. Independent long-term backup, because the license is not backup and does not protect against deletion or ransomware over time. Governance when artificial intelligence comes in (Copilot), so the AI helps without taking company data where it should not go. And team adoption, so the plan is used in full and does not become just an expensive email account.

What is included
The right license, provisioned, and Zamak's operation that keeps it turned on and complete
Two deliveries in one service: the right Microsoft 365 license, chosen and provisioned with one point of contact, and Zamak's continuous operation that turns on the plan's security, fills what is missing and keeps everything working. You use Microsoft 365; we keep it right, turned on and secure.
The right license, provisioned
The Microsoft 365 plan chosen by your usage and set up the right way, with a single contact.
- Choice of plan (Apps, Basic, Standard or Premium) by the way your company actually works.
- Licensing through Zamak (via a distributor), with a single contract and a single point of contact.
- Provisioning and migration of email, files and accounts to Microsoft 365, without stopping the operation.
- Initial setup of the domain, the accounts and the basic access rules.
- Support for team adoption, so the plan is used in full, not just the email.
Zamak's continuous operation
Who turns on the plan's security, fills what is missing and keeps everything working, alongside your team.
- The plan's security turned on and maintained: second factor, blocking odd sign-ins, device policies and data-leak protection.
- Antivirus and threat response on the device (the plan's Defender), operated by Zamak.
- Independent long-term backup of the Microsoft 365 data, because the license is not backup.
- Governance of artificial intelligence (Copilot) when it comes in, so the AI helps without exposing company data.
- Support and a single point of contact for the license, the operation and whatever you need from Microsoft 365.
Tech specs
What Zamak chooses, turns on and operates, under the hood
For those who want to look under the hood: the plan structure and the layers Zamak turns on and maintains so Microsoft 365 is right, turned on and complete. Each one is an official Microsoft capability, applied with method by a Microsoft Solutions Partner.
The Business line and the four plans
Microsoft 365 for companies up to 300 users is the Business line, with four plans in a cumulative logic: Microsoft 365 Apps (just the Office apps on the computer), Business Basic (the essential cloud: email, Teams and files on web and mobile), Business Standard (all of Basic plus the apps on the computer and the full productivity features) and Business Premium (all of Standard plus the security and management stack). Each plan also exists in a with-Teams and a without-Teams version. Zamak chooses the right fit per company.
The Business Premium security stack
What makes Premium the security plan, and not just a pricier Standard: Defender for Business (next-generation antivirus and threat response on the device, with ransomware rollback), Defender for Office 365 (email links and attachments checked against phishing and malware), Intune (device management), Entra ID (conditional access and second factor) and Purview (data-leak protection, sensitivity labels and disk encryption with BitLocker). It all ships in the license; Zamak turns it on, configures it and maintains it, item by item.
Identity and access: the most targeted door
The Microsoft 365 account is the key that opens email, files and systems, which is why it is the favorite target of attackers. Zamak requires a second factor at login, defines who can do what by least privilege and applies conditional access rules, such as blocking sign-ins from unexpected places. It is the foundation for a leaked password not to become the key to the whole company, and it connects directly to identity and password management, when you want the full vault.
Device management (Intune)
With Intune, included in Business Premium, Zamak provisions and protects the company's computers and phones: it applies the security rules, prepares a new device ready to use without a technician visit, and keeps the base of devices standardized and under control. If a device is lost or someone leaves, the company's access and data on that device can be blocked remotely.
Data protection and compliance (Purview)
Zamak uses the plan's data-protection tools to keep sensitive information from leaving by mistake: labels that mark what is confidential, rules that block the improper sending of data (such as a card number or a confidential document) and encryption of the computers' disks. It is the layer that helps the company meet requirements like the GDPR and ISO 27001, although no tool, on its own, guarantees compliance.
What Microsoft 365 does not do (and Zamak fills)
Not everything ships in the license. Microsoft 365 is not backup: deleted data stays available for a short window and then is gone, so Zamak includes an independent, long-term copy with recovery. When artificial intelligence comes in (Copilot), Zamak enables it with governance, so the AI helps without taking company data where it should not go. And it covers adoption and support, so the plan is used in full.
The licenses and the cloud are Microsoft's; Zamak, as a Microsoft Solutions Partner, chooses the plan, resells it through a distributor, turns on what it brings and operates the whole thing alongside your team. Billed per user, with a predictable value.
It is the difference between having Microsoft 365 and using it the way it was built to work: on the right plan, with the security turned on and the gaps filled.

How to choose the plan
The four Microsoft 365 plans, side by side by capability
The Business line has four plans, from the simplest to the most complete, all up to 300 users. See what each one includes by capability, not by price, to spot where your company fits. It is the plan structure published by Microsoft; the Business Premium column is where the security lives, and that is where Zamak's operation makes the most difference.

Add-ons that stack onto any plan
Capabilities that do not come in the base plan and Zamak enables and operates when they make sense for your company.
Copilot for Business
Microsoft's artificial intelligence assistant inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Zamak enables it with governance, so the AI helps without taking company data where it should not go.
Teams Phone
A cloud phone extension: the company makes, receives and transfers calls through Teams itself, with no physical phone system. Zamak sets up the numbers and the call rules.
Standalone advanced antivirus (Defender)
The Business Premium antivirus and threat response also exist separately, for those on Basic or Standard who want that protection without changing plans. It is already included in Business Premium.
Each add-on comes by license, like the plans; Zamak sizes and operates the whole thing alongside your team.
Plan structure as published by Microsoft (Microsoft 365 Business line, up to 300 users per company). Features and limits may change; Zamak confirms what applies to your case. Zamak is not a plan: it is who chooses the right one with you, turns on what it brings and operates the whole thing.
From risk to impact
From Microsoft 365 on autopilot to business impact
The company is on the wrong plan: overpaying for features it does not use, or unprotected on a basic plan.
Money wasted every month, or a security gap the company does not even know it has.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak sizes the plan by real usage and adjusts it, to pay for the right thing and have the protection the data calls for.
The security that came with the plan (antivirus, access control, data protection) stayed turned off.
You pay for the security and do not have the security: the expensive license becomes a policy never signed.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak turns on and maintains the plan's stack: second factor, device policies, data protection and threat response.
Someone deletes data, a former employee wipes the mailbox, or ransomware encrypts what was synced.
Microsoft 365 keeps it briefly and then it is gone: data loss with no way back, no independent copy.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak includes an independent, long-term backup with recovery: a slip or an attack does not become data loss.
A Microsoft 365 account is breached with a leaked password, because there was no second factor at login.
Email, files and systems exposed through a single credential: the incident the license, on its own, does not prevent.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak requires a second factor, blocks odd sign-ins and controls access, closing the most targeted door.
In all these cases, what changes is not luck. It is having someone responsible for the company's Microsoft 365: on the right plan, with the security turned on and the gaps filled, before the problem arrives.
For every role
What changes for each role in your company
The same Microsoft 365, on the right plan and with the security turned on, read through the eyes of whoever decides, owns the budget and compliance, and runs IT.
Owner and founder
Build it, protect it, grow its value.
The platform where the whole company works stops being a hidden risk, the license no one reviews and the data that can leak, and becomes a cared-for asset. You know you are paying for the right plan, that the security is turned on and that the data has real backup. Less risk in cash flow and reputation, more value when auditing, insuring or selling the company.
Manager and director
Cost you can predict. Security you can prove.
You swap the subscription no one reviews for a plan sized by real usage, without paying for what the team does not use. And when the audit, the client or the insurer asks whether access is controlled and data is protected, you answer with proof, not with hope. Less waste on the spreadsheet, less weak point when closing a contract.
IT lead and team
A secure extension of your team.
You stop being the one turning on the second factor at night, chasing the missing license and setting up device policy on the weekend. Zamak takes on the endless part (turning on and maintaining the plan's security, provisioning, migrating, documenting) alongside your team, and you get the backing of a Microsoft Solutions Partner behind you. You gain capacity to focus on what creates value, without losing command of the environment.
IT partner and provider
Offer managed Microsoft 365 to your clients.
Bring your clients Microsoft 365 on the right plan, with the security turned on and complete backup, as a recurring service, without having to build in-house the licensing and security structure that Zamak already operates. You come in with a ready offer, preserve the client relationship and Zamak runs the back office at your side. Request a proposal and we will design the partnership model with you.
Why Zamak
Why Zamak
Getting value from Microsoft 365 takes more than buying the license: it takes choosing the right plan, turning on what it brings and operating it every day, alongside whoever runs IT. That is where Zamak comes in, as a Microsoft Solutions Partner: it chooses and resells the plan, turns on and maintains the security it comes with, fills what is missing and monitors everything, with a single point of contact. Always alongside your team, never in its place, so command of the environment stays with the company.
In the end, it is the difference between having a Microsoft 365 license no one reviews, half of it turned off, and having Microsoft 365 on the right plan, with the security turned on, the data backed up and the AI under governance, before any problem arrives.
