Before breaking into your company, the attacker almost always rings the same doorbell: the inbox of someone on your team.
Email is the attackers' favorite entry door because, on the other side of it, sits the hardest defense to harden: a busy person, who trusts a familiar logo and opens the attachment in the middle of the rush. The protection that already comes with email blocks the obvious volume of spam, but the scam written to fool one specific person, and the brand new threat of the day, walk right through. Managed email security is the layer that sits in front of your inbox: it filters the message before it reaches the person, keeps email running when your provider goes down, and holds a copy that no one can delete.
According to the consultancy Deloitte, 91% of cyberattacks begin with a phishing email, the message that impersonates someone trustworthy to steal a click, a password or a payment. And nearly a third of all successful breaches involve that same tactic.
In tests by the independent lab Virus Bulletin, the filtering technology Zamak operates blocks 100% of malware and catches 99.99% of phishing, without blocking legitimate email: zero false positives.
Most companies trust that Microsoft 365 already protects their email. It protects against the basics, but it is precisely the most targeted, because of its huge number of users, and the attack designed for one specific person keeps getting through.
Managed email security: the dedicated layer Zamak Technologies operates in front of your inbox to filter the threat before the person, keep email running when the provider fails and recover the message that was deleted, by mistake or on purpose. Your company's front door, shielded and watched.

Why email is the front door
The attack does not start with a genius hacker. It starts with an ordinary email.
Here is how, in practice, a message that looked harmless turns into the loss, in companies that thought they were protected.
The invoice that looked like it came from the usual supplier.
An email arrived from the usual supplier saying it had changed banks and asking for payment into the new account. The address was almost identical to the real one. Finance paid. Except the sender was a scammer who had studied the company, and the money was gone. In 2024 alone, this kind of email scam cost companies 2.77 billion dollars, according to the FBI.
The logo that fooled the eye.
An email with the look of the bank, of Microsoft 365 or of a familiar service asked to confirm the password. The image looked official, but the link behind it led to a fake page hosted for free. An employee clicked, typed the password, and the attacker was in.
The attachment no one should have opened.
A resume, an invoice, a receipt. The attachment arrived on a machine where someone opens everything on autopilot. Inside it came a malicious program that, once opened, threw the door wide open for the rest of the attack.
The morning email simply stopped.
The email provider had an outage and no one in the company could send or receive. Orders stalled, clients were left without an answer, the team stared at the screen unable to work. Whoever had a continuity layer kept working as usual.
The email that vanished right when it was needed.
An important email was deleted: by mistake, by someone who left the company resentful, or by an attack that wiped the mailbox. When the audit, the client or the lawyer asked for that record, it had already passed the window that ordinary email keeps. There was nowhere to recover it from.
None of these attacks needed a criminal genius: it needed a message that reached a busy person. That is exactly where managed email security acts, filtering before the person, keeping email running and holding on to what was deleted.
What managed email security is
A layer in front of your inbox, operated by people.
Managed email security is a protection layer that sits in front of your email, whether Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or your own server, without you having to change providers. Every message passes through it before reaching the person: the threat is removed at the door, email keeps working in a secure portal when your provider goes down, and a protected copy is kept so you can recover whatever gets deleted. Zamak Technologies sets up that layer, defines the rules, follows what it blocks and stays alongside your team, adding to the work of whoever already cares for your environment, never in their place.
Filters before it reaches the person
The malicious message is blocked at the door, before it touches the inbox of the person working. The layer checks whether the sender really is who they claim to be, compares links against a database of dangerous pages updated all day long, and examines every attachment. What it learns from an attack anywhere in the world goes on to protect your company within seconds.
Keeps email running
When your email provider has an outage, your team is not left stranded: it keeps receiving, reading and sending through a secure portal in the browser. When the service comes back, everything syncs on its own. You work while the competition waits.
Holds a copy no one can delete
A protected, encrypted copy of every email is kept for years, out of reach of whoever deletes. You recover the message lost by mistake, removed on purpose by someone who left, or wiped in an attack, even when it has already vanished from Microsoft 365.
It works with the email your company already uses, without changing providers or addresses. The protection that already comes with Microsoft 365 blocks common spam; this dedicated layer covers what was built to fool one specific person, keeps email running during an outage and holds the history that ordinary email discards over time.

Inside the technology
The engineering behind managed email security
For those who want the technical detail: this is how the layer works under the hood.
Cloud gateway, in front of the server
The layer is a cloud email gateway that sits in front of your mail server. The message is checked during the initial delivery handshake and again after it is accepted, so the threat is removed before reaching the inbox, instead of being cleaned up after the damage.
Sender authentication: SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Every message passes through the three protocols that prove the sender's identity, combined with reputation checks on the domain and the originating address and inspection of the headers. It is what blocks the identity spoofing that sustains executive and supplier fraud.
Anti-phishing with a live database and lure detection
A database of dangerous page addresses is updated thirty to fifty times a day. Beyond it, the layer notices subtle tricks, such as an image that mimics a bank's brand but leads, behind it, to a free hosting site, the typical mismatch of a phishing lure.
Anti-malware with multiple engines
Every attachment is examined by more than one detection engine combined, cross-checking proprietary and third-party signatures, which reduces the chance of a threat slipping through. The blocking results are certified by an independent testing lab.
Collective intelligence at global scale
The layer learns from billions of messages per month, across millions of mailboxes worldwide. When a new attack is seen anywhere, the defense against it starts protecting your company within seconds, without waiting for the next manual update.
Continuity and encrypted archive
During a provider outage, a secure web portal keeps the team receiving and sending, and it syncs back when service returns. In parallel, an encrypted archive holds the history for years, with export for audit and a reserved portal for the most sensitive message.
The platform runs on infrastructure certified to SOC 2 and ISO 27001, compliant with HIPAA and PCI-DSS, and the traffic between your email and the layer travels encrypted. The blocking results are measured by an independent testing lab.
The email security layer is an enterprise platform recognized and awarded by an independent testing lab, operated by Zamak Technologies for the reality of your company.
Take this documentation to present to decision-makers.
Risk, impact and response
For every real email risk, a concrete response
An email impersonates the boss or the supplier and asks for a payment or a password
Money transferred to the scammer or a credential stolen, with direct loss and loss of trust
How managed email security responds
Sender authentication, reputation checks and analysis block the spoofing before it reaches the person who would pay
The email provider has an outage and no one can send or receive
Stalled business, clients without an answer and a team idle while the competition works
How managed email security responds
The continuity portal keeps the team receiving, reading and sending, and everything syncs when the service returns
A critical email is deleted by mistake, on an employee's exit or in an attack
A record lost right when the audit, the client or the lawsuit needed it
How managed email security responds
The encrypted archive keeps the copy for years and recovers the message, even when deleted from the provider's mailbox
A targeted phishing or a new threat slips past the basic email protection
The person clicks, the password leaks and the attacker uses email as the door to everything else
How managed email security responds
The dedicated layers and the collective intelligence reach what the basics do not see; whatever still escapes is quarantined and reported
None of these scenarios depends on your team remembering to check each person's inbox. That is what managed means.

Managed email security solves a different pain for each role in the company.
Owner and founder
The scam that starts with an email, kept away from your company
Most fraud aims at email because it is the easiest door. Here it is filtered before reaching anyone on your team, so a fake payment request does not become the loss and the embarrassment that stain the reputation you took years to build.
Executives and management
Continuity, compliance and predictable cost
Email does not stop during a provider outage, the history is kept for audit and compliance, and all of it comes as a predictable monthly cost, instead of becoming an unpredictable crisis the day something goes wrong.
